of Director’s Meeting
November
6, 2006
CALL
TO ORDER: President John Killian called the meeting to order at 6:10
pm. Members present were: John Killian, Jan Wagner, Carol Murakoshi,
Donna Wenberg, Steve Sulzby, Frank Bartlett, Irma Johnson, and Barbara Balowitz. Absentees were: Rosemary Ford, Marshall Pelle and Merlin
Hansen. Frank Seipp Jr. and Morris
Lorber were excused.
MINUTES: Frank Bartlett moved to accept the minutes as
read. Barbara Balowitz seconded. Motion carried.
TREASURER’S
REPORT: Donna
Wenberg reported that the current total assets as of October
31, 2006 is $6,173.13 that reflected a negative change of $ 2,732.51 compared to last year at this time. The net income in October, 2006 was negative $1,648.00. Irma
Johnson moved and Jan Wagner seconded to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
HOSPITALITY/CHARITY: Barbara Balowitz reported that she collected
a total of $10.00. from
both book and counter boxes. Sympathy cards were sent to the families of
Mary Jane Jones and Betty Barton who lost her granddaughter.
SANCTIONS: Irma Johnson reported that the first
quarter sanctions of 2007 would be completed next month.
REFRESHMENTS: Carol Murakoshi and Barbara Balowitz will
host the December 3rd
PUBLICITY,
EDUCATION, AWARDS: No
reports.
IN
COORDINATOR: Steve
Sulzby reported that the lecture sessions on Tuesday afternoons continue to be
very well received. Feedback from the IN
players have been excellent.

REPORT: Irma
Johnson reported the latest In & Out stats from ACBL for the period 9-30-06
through 11-1-06.

There were six new members, one
transfer in and two transfers out this period, both of whom have moved out of
the area. There also was one relevant
change of status: Kay Tseng, who made
Life Master.
OLD
BUSINESS: For the LB
Sectional, Carol volunteered to make a Baked Goods and Snacks sign-up sheet for
members’ donations. A plea for homemade
goodies will be on the sheet. Jan Wagner
is in charge of refreshments on Friday evening.
Carol Murakoshi and Barbara Balowitz will do Saturday and Sunday. Carol and Steve Sulzby will take care of the Monday treats.
There will be coffee, water and cookies for the games held at the Holiday
Inn. Steve Sulzby and John Killian will
be in charge of clean up after the sessions.

Barbara Balowitz graciously volunteered
to have the January Banquet at her home.
John Killian will check with his daughter to see if she can cater the
food and will report back at the next meeting.
ADJOURNMENT: Donna Wenberg made a motion to adjourn
the meeting. Steve Sulzby seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 6:52 pm. The next monthly meeting will be on Monday, December
4, 2007.
