.Board of Director’s Meeting April 12, 2010

 

CALL TO ORDER:  Diane Sachs called the meeting to order at 6:03 pm.  Members present were:  Mary Thomas, Kevin Lane, Louise Sperr, Sue Fardette, Fern Dunbar, Diane Sachs, Donna Wenberg, Cooie Dampman, Sherry Troeger, and John Killian.  Absent were Mark Tang, Sharon Beran, Betty Jackson, Larry Slutsky, and Steve Sulsby.  

 

MINUTES:  Kevin made a motion to accept the minutes.  Sue seconded it.  Motion passed.

 

CORRESPONDENCE/HOSPITALITY:  Mary reported that $47 was given for the  WomenShelter.  Mary sent four get well and two sympathy cards.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT:  Donna reported that we have total assets of $9731.80 as of March 31st.  Our total net income was $135.94 as of March 10th.  January income was $624.99.  Donna has obtained sanctions through May.  Congratulations to Mark Tang for getting his gold life masters.

REFRESHMENTS: April Burg will prepare the food for May and June.  Kevin made a motion that we pay April $275 for this service instead of $240.  Sherry seconded the motion.  The motion passed.

 

SECTIONAL:  Kevin was trying to decide what to charge for the upcoming sectional on Nov.11th.  After discussion John made a motion that we charge $11.  Sue seconded the motion.  Motion passed.  John said we needed to have an overflow place.

 

REGIONAL:  No report.

 

IN COORDINATOR:  Diane reported that Hank is enjoying the Tuesday lessons far more that he thought he would at the beginning. 

 

AWARDS:  Everyone agreed that Fern and Steve did a great job in presenting the awards at the unit game.

 

PUBLICITY:  No report.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  None.

 

NEW BUSINESS:  Donna announced that she will be resigning from the board as of now.  She will, however, continue to do membership.  We are all sorry to see you go, Donna.

 

ALACBU:  No report.

 

ADJOURNMENT:  5:59PM   the motion was made by Cooie and seconded by Sherry.  Motion passed.  The next board meeting will be May 10th.
